LOS ANGELES, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- A teenager was killed and four other people were injured in a shooting on Christmas Day in northern Los Angeles County, according to local media and police.
The search is on for the suspects who shot and killed the 16-year-old boy in Lancaster, a Southern California city located some 110 km north of downtown Los Angeles, FOX 11 reported on Friday.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed in a press release that the incident was reported on Thursday and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 17-year-old girl, a 15-year-old boy and two adult men were transported to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds, said the department.
Police urged anyone with information about the shooting to contact the Homicide Bureau of the department. ■
