BEIJING, March 26 (Xinhua) -- The Beijing Ducks claimed an 88-75 home victory over the Zhejiang Golden Bulls in the 30th round of the 2025-26 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) regular season.
The Ducks' two former NBA players, JaVale McGee and Omari Spellman, both scored 17 points. Zhou Qi added 12 points and 9 rebounds to secure the victory for Beijing.
Trailing 14-24 in the first quarter, the Golden Bulls overtook the game 73-71 early in the fourth quarter. However, the Ducks responded with a 17-2 run to win the game, bouncing back from Monday's 86-88 loss to the Jilin Northeast Tigers.
The Sharks blew the game open with a 7-0 run in the first two minutes of the first quarter and gained a 20-point halftime lead, and went on to seal a 112-80 victory.
Li Hongquan of Shanghai scored 27 points and grabbed five rebounds in 19 minutes, while Li Tianrong hit six three pointers to register 18 points.
The Qingdao Eagles sealed a thrilling victory over Guangzhou Loong Lions with 90-88. Quinndary Weatherspoon scored 20 points and hit the game-winning shot with two seconds left.
In other action, defending champion Zhejiang Lions beat the Tianjin Pioneers 102-95, the Shenzhen Aviators thrashed the Jiangsu Dragons 104-84, the Nanjing Monkey Kings edged the Beijing Royal Fighters 108-101, the Jilin Northeast Tigers upset the Liaoning Flying Leopards 82-75, the Guangdong Southern Tigers routed the Sichuan Blue Whales 93-51, the Shandong Heroes smashed Xinjiang Flying Tigers 102-82, Fujian Sturgeons fell 81-85 to the Ningbo Rockets. ■
