TOKYO, May 15 (Xinhua) -- A 6.0-magnitude earthquake struck off Japan's Iwo Jima on Friday, the country's weather agency said.
No immediate injuries or damage have been reported.
The temblor occurred at 00:34 a.m. local time at a depth of 10 km in Hahajima Island, measuring 3 on Japan's seismic scale of 7, said the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA).
The epicenter was initially determined to be at 24.9 degrees north latitude and 142.5 degrees east longitude.
No tsunami warning was issued, according to the JMA. ■
